of this book was published in cooperation
with the Humanitarian Right Fund. The first
edition of this publication was dedicated
to the 50-years Anniversary of the UN Universal
Declaration on Human Rights. This short review
and comment of those rights aspires to contribute
to improvement of human rights and liberties
in our country. It is intended for everyday
use. We distributed this book during our pro-election
campaign EXIT 2000.
In the publication there is a list of the
most usual and/or most important situations
and activities that jeopardize human rights,
as well as provisions of conventions, constitutions,
laws and police regulations sanctioning those
offences (the right of life, ban of torturing,
violation of dignity, arresting, asking for
identification, police investigations, search
of apartment and person, informative interview,
use of tools of force, the right of criticizing,
the human rights of policemen, informing the
police, international protection, the codex
of the police ethics. |
