In MONS, in Belgium, there was a seminar held, named Cross-cultural Action between Communities of Former Yugoslavia, which lasted from May 8th to May 17th, 2002, under auspice of organization KAIROS JEUNESSE with its seat in Brussels. Members of this organization are young people from all around Europe, young people from Civic Initiatives, Belgrade and Initiative 21 from Tuzla. The idea of this meeting was to garher young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and Montenegro, as well as young people from ex Yugoslavia currently living in Belgium, and make them try to do something together. The main goal of this meeting was to promote ideas of tolerance, integration, respect towards discrepancy, interculturality. Seminar gathered seven people from Yugoslavia, the same number of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, several young ex Yugoslavs who live in Brussels, alternative artist dealing with music, dancing and theatre from Spain, the Netherlands, and Hungary, whose role was to, using their own creativity, enable young people creative expressing themselves through music, movement, dancing, image. Meeting ended with festival named SEE FEST - Festival Interculturel de la Jeunesse Balkanique, on the main place in MONS. The idea was to convey the energy of Balkans to the inhabitants of this multicultural town, by promoting above mentioned ideas through the most potent »weapon« - dance, music, song.
