Teaching_Literacy_to_Adult_Roma
CI Youth Program is implementing the project "Teaching Literacy to Adult Roma People" which aims to provide basic level of literacy to Roma people who don`t have these skills.
Students from the Belgrade University and the Faculty of Drama Arts are teaching literacy to participants from Roma settlements in few Belgrade municipalities. In return they are provided with scholarships intended for their faculty fees.
The first part of the project is being conducted in Roma settlements: Barajevo, Rakovica, Makiš, Mladenovac and Boljevci. It is being financed by the City of Belgrade.
The second part is being held in Mali Leskovac, Roma settlement in Palilula Belgrade Municipality. The International Women`s club is supporting the second part of the project.
