Although the state of emergency in Serbia was lifted on May 6, given the large number of violations, Civic Initiatives will continue to monitor the situation in the field of all human rights in the coming period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The past period was marked by the escalation of verbal violence, intolerance, but also physical incidents due to the lack of capacity to accept the expression of different opinions or attitudes. The exhibition of caricatures in Zemun was a sufficient reason for a violent reaction of a group of men, and their actions were supported by the public, as well as a certain amount of understanding by the Ministry of Culture and Information, which declaratively condemned the intrusion into the exhibition, but an essential part of the statement was devoted to condemning the contents of the exhibition.
