The previous two weeks have been marked with numerious cases of basic rights and freedoms violations.<\/p>\n

The premises of the weekly “Glas Podrinja” from Sabac were attacked, during which their office glass was broken. It was a similar attack to which this paper was exposed two years ago, when the glass on their official car was broken. TV show host Zoran Kesi\u0107, known for his satirical criticism of authorities, was denied a performance in Pali\u0107 near Subotica, while the director of the Institute for European Affairs, Naim Leo Be\u0161iri, was again faced with threats.<\/p>\n

Journalists from the Bulgarian National Television and several environmental activists were physically attacked while trying to film a documentary show about pollution in the vicinity of a mine in the municipality of Bosilegrad, Serbia. The journalist and editor of the “Danas” newspaper, Vuka\u0161in Obradovi\u0107, was the target of an attack by tabloids close to the authorities and officials of the ruling party.<\/p>\n

In the area of \u200b\u200bfreedom of association, the Pride Info Center in Belgrade was attacked again, this time by the neo-nazi group “Belgrader Jugend”, which covered the PIC windows with stickers.<\/p>\n
