The previous observed period was marked by environmental protests in Novi Sad. On several occasions, activists were exposed to the use of physical force by members of the police, as a result of which several people received injuries that had to be treated immediately. Strong police forces prevented the gathered citizens from accessing the location where preparatory works for the construction of a new bridge in Novi Sad are being carried out, which environmental activists claim will completely destroy the last green oasis in this city, inhabited by protected species.<\/p>\n
