Elections Under the Magnifying Glass<\/strong><\/p>\n

Civic Initiatives will continuously monitor and record cases of violations of freedom of expression, assembly and association during the pre-election campaign. We will point out all omissions and illegal actions during the election campaign, including cases of abuse of public resources and public functions for the purpose of running the campaign. We will report on all these issues to the interested public on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n
During the period of the pre-election campaign, we bring you weekly reports Elections Under the Magnifying Glass, based on Three Freedoms Under the Magnifying Glass, where we will report to you about all violations of freedom of expression, assembly and association in the context of the upcoming elections. This week, we bring the first Elections Under the Magnifying Glass for the observed period from September 9 to 11, 2026.<\/p>\n
In the previous period, we noted the already present characteristics of the officials’ campaign, reflected in the President’s letter to pensioners, which was forwarded to all pensioners in Serbia through the PIO fund. The president of the state, also the ruling party’s candidate for prime minister, addresses the oldest citizens, listing the “results” of the ruling party, and the letter was also used to insult and spread falsehoods about the “other” side.<\/p>\n
The delivery of election lists has not yet started, but there are already announcements in the public about who will go to the elections and with whom in the coalition.<\/p>\n
