Elections Under the Magnifying Glass<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Civic Initiatives organisation will continuously monitor and document cases of violations of freedom of expression, assembly and association throughout the election campaign. We will highlight all shortcomings and unlawful practices during the campaign, including cases of misuse of public resources and public office for campaigning purposes. We will report on all these issues to the public and other interested stakeholders on a weekly basis.<\/span><\/p>\n
The final week of the election campaign was marked by numerous irregularities of Serbia\u2019s electoral and media legislation, the identification of potential vulnerabilities that could be exploited to manipulate the electoral process itself, the continued obstruction of journalists in the safe performance of their work, as well as new cases involving the use of prohibited spyware.<\/span><\/p>\n
