In this way <strong>Jelka Jovanovi\u0107<\/strong> (Editor of Novi magazin) and <strong>Kristina Lupu<\/strong>, Project Manager (Center for Independent Journalism, Bucharest) opened training devoted to media literacy, pointing out that &#8220;the public is the one dictating trends in journalism, and that is the task of us all is to follow social change and to convey it \u00a0in a proper way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn the segment of the conference dedicated to the role of the media in the &#8220;media literacy&#8221; spoke <strong>Dragoljub Petrovi\u0107<\/strong>, Editor in Chief (Daily Newspaper Danas), pointing out that &#8220;the media in Serbia do not contribute to the development of media literacy.&#8221; On the burning issue when it comes to this theme &#8211; the problem of complete turn in the sphere of visual and neglecting written and linguistic aspect of any information, spoke <strong>Zvezdan Man\u010di\u0107<\/strong> (Centre for Development of Photography). <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3359 size-medium alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gradjanske.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gradjanske.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gradjanske.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.gradjanske.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.gradjanske.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n-700x525.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.gradjanske.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/15424423_1789650567969044_1729485280_n.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>On the theme of civil society and civic education, observed through the prism of media literacy, spoke <strong>Bojana Selakovi\u0107<\/strong> (a.d. Executive Director of Civic Initiatives), pointing out that &#8220;media literacy in the framework of the system of education must be conducted in a manner tailored to children.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Given that research data on media literacy, which for the purpose of this project was carried out <strong>Dejan Ko\u017eul<\/strong>, indicates a decline in the quality of media research, there is a great need for education in the field of media literacy and great need to raise general awareness of the importance of this issue for the citizens \u2013 the general conclusion of the debate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main event of the second day of the conference was the presentation of\u00a0 Manual for the media, &#8220;The fight for equality&#8221;, the authors of which are<strong> Brankica Jankovi\u0107<\/strong>, Commissioner for Protection of Equality, prof. dr. <strong>Ivana Krsti\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Antigona Andonov <\/strong>and <strong>Tatjana Jakobi<\/strong>. The manual is designed as a guide to all journalists dealing with issues of equality and non-discrimination, with additional information on how treatment and practices of the CPE or the European Court of Human Rights.
