Elections Under the Magnifying Glass

The Civic Initiatives organisation will continuously monitor and document cases of violations of freedom of expression, assembly, and association during the pre-election campaign. We will highlight all shortcomings and unlawful activities throughout the election campaign, including cases of the misuse of public resources and public office for campaigning purposes. We will report on all these issues to the public and other interested stakeholders on a weekly basis.

The past week has been marked by numerous irregularities concerning the discrepancy between the number of registered voters and the population of Serbia, as well as a noticeable increase in the number of identity cards issued. Repression and violence against citizens, journalists, and activists continue unabated. These developments have raised widespread public concerns about the integrity of the upcoming elections.
