During the last reporting period, we recorded a drastic escalation in physical violence and institutional repression. The local elections held on March 29 served as a focal point for coordinated aggression, where the safety of journalists, students, citizens and observers was systematically compromised. This climate of violence peaked with an unauthorized police raid on the Belgrade Rectorate, where University Autonomy was violated through the unlawful intervention.
Coupled with retaliatory dismissals in schools, the coordinated blocking of independent media accounts in Novi Pazar, and the mass judicial harassment of environmental protesters, these events signal a systematic effort to undermine fundamental freedoms through physical force and institutional pressure.
