The institute of call-based co-financing of projects of public interest, both in the field of
public information and those related to projects implemented by associations, represents
a legislatively prescribed instrument of immense importance for the media and civil
sectors’ operation. The regulatory framework in this area is not sufficiently developed and
does not envisage adequate mechanisms whose implementation would contribute to the
integrity and transparency of the process of announcing calls and allocating funds to
media outlets and associations.
