This training aims to provide participants with a safe and engaging space:

·        To better understand social and cultural patterns related to gender

·        To illustrate common perceptions of gender roles

·        To challenge different perceptions of the roles of man and women in society

·        To rethink and deconstruct the patterns related to gender roles in their own lives and communities

What can you expect as a participant?

Trainings like this allow groups of young people from different communities to meet, live together and work on shared projects for short periods. You can expect to participate in activities such as workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, outdoor activities and more. We promise the program to be: engaging, reflective, adapted to the participants’ needs.

Profile of the participants:

Young people (16-30) from  Vranje, Lebane, Bujanovac and Preševo, interested to learn more about gender roles in our society. You don’t need any previous experience or knowledge on the topic, it is important to be proactive, motivated, playful and willing to raise questions, wonder and look for answers with us.

The program is in English, so basic English language knowledge is necessary. Don’t worry if you’re not fluent, this is a perfect opportunity to practice your language skills!

The training will be organised in Leskovac, from 1st to 4th July, 2021. All costs of transportation, accommodation, food, and materials for work are covered by the organizers. Applications can be sent no later than June 30th, 2021, 23.59h via link below.
